Painting - "FLURRIES" Acrylic & Pastel on Paper 30" X 22" This area of Vancouver has historically been home to the Musqueam Indian people who hunted, fished and lived within it.. Looking at the decaying remains of what were colossal trees, I am inspired to speculate on the powerful feelings of grandeur and awe that this forest has generated for those who have walked through it. |

LANGHAM GALLERY, Kaslo, B.C VISAC GALLERY, Trail, B.C. 1994 Painting - "SURVIVAL" Acrylic & Pastel on Paper 30" X 22" In the fall the roadside weeds are in a last 'grip of life' before winter sets in. Their exploding seed pods are a brave act of survival. My shadow on the landscape indicated man's presence - one of destroying and polluting or preserving and renewal - the choice is ours. |

Painting - "FRICTIONAL DRAG" Mixed Media on Canvas 53" x 42" Swash marks are an oceanographical term for the tiny lines of sand left on a beach by each receding wave. I have tried to depict the feelings of serenity and renewal that a newly washed beach can evoke but waves also inevitably leave debris! |

Painting - "PINK SNOW" Acrylic on Canvas 40" X 30" The City of Trail paintings developed as I noticed the orange evening glow that envelopes the Trail area and seems to transform the smelter complex into a magical place that transform grey rock into shining metals. |
